In addition to a new website, the Free Enterprise Network built a custom map that linked Caterpillar facilities around the country with their elected officials.  This allows the company to provide important civic information in an easily accessible format.

Within days of launching the new Web site, Caterpillar initiated a letter-writing campaign to its employees to help lobby U.S. Congress to pass a new highway bill. Within 48 hours, over 20,000 letters were sent to elected officials. On every level, the campaign was considered a success.
